The following are answers to common questions in the Microsoft FrontPage Client Newsgroup:

Setting up FrontPage on a LAN (Local Area Network)

The MS PWS will function nicely as a httpd server on one of the local machines in a multi-user environment.

The prerequisite is that the network must have a TCP/IP stack. I assume that this is already done if the network exists. Note the IP address of where the server was installed.

At the other machines enter into the into the host file found in the windows directory and entry for the IP of the server machine. e.g. 192.300.0.1 xyz-company.

At this point each browser on the network with the modified hosts file may access the server using http://xyz-company or if the hosts file has not been modified 192.300.0.1
